02 Kgs of ganja recovered by Police Post Narwal Jammu, One peddler arrested

Jammu, Sept 10: Continuing it’s drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse, Jammu Police achieved major success by recovering 02 Kgs of ganja from one accused person in the jurisdiction of PP Narwal
A police team of PP Narwal led by SDPO East Syed Zaheer Abbas Jafari assisted by SHO PS Bahu Fort Inspr Shiv Dev Singh and I/C PP Narwal SI Lalit Sharma while on naka duty at Rajiv Nagar area rounded up a suspected person who was coming from railway station towards Narwal. During search 02 Kgs of ganja was recovered from the possession of accused later identified as Ravi S/O Jinder R/O Rajiv Nagar. In this regard, Case FIR No. 271/23 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act got registered at PS Bahu Fort and accused got arrested.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
Jammu police is working intensively to uproot the chains of drug supply in the region and thorough questioning of the accused is going on to know the origin of the drugs supply chain.
Jammu Police is striving hard and taking every possible step to make people especially youth aware to eradicate drug menace.
