Jammu, Sept 10, 2023: Kavinder Gupta, a senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, praised India’s successful hosting of the G20 Summit, a global forum of major economies. He described this prestigious event as a significant milestone, signifying India’s growing importance in the international arena and its commitment to global cooperation and diplomacy.
Speaking at a joining program held in Jammu, Kavinder Gupta stated that the G20 Summit, under the presidency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, serves as a platform for world leaders to engage in substantial discussions and collaborate on critical issues that affect not only their respective nations but the entire world. He emphasized that it offers a unique opportunity to address pressing challenges like economic slowdown, terrorism, and public health crises.
Kavinder Gupta acknowledged that hosting the G20 Summit in India is a momentous occasion that showcases the nation’s dedication to the principles of unity, peace, and international cooperation. He noted that the summit has received praise from top world leaders, including US President Joe Biden, French President Emmanuel Macron, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, and Russian ministers, who have commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and India’s role as the host.
The former Deputy Chief Minister highlighted India’s remarkable progress in various sectors under Prime Minister Modi’s visionary leadership and emphasized India’s continued pivotal role in shaping the global agenda.
He expressed confidence that India’s participation in the G20 Summit will significantly contribute to addressing critical global challenges and fostering stronger international partnerships.
In a significant political development, prominent Muslim leader Tahir Ali Shah, along with hundreds of his supporters, officially joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during the event. Kavinder Gupta welcomed these new members into the party fold and expressed hope that their joining would strengthen the party’s grassroots presence. The newly joined members pledged to work tirelessly to enhance the party’s vibrancy and strengthen its grassroots organization.
