GDC Jindrah partners with J&K bank for Financial Literacy awareness program

JAMMU, Sept 11: Government Degree College (GDC) in Jindrah, in collaboration with J&K Bank's Jindrah Branch, organized an awareness program on Financial Literacy. The initiative, conducted under the guidance of Prof. Renu Sehgal, the Principal of the college, aimed to educate students and staff about various financial schemes and services available to them.
During the event, Karan Dev Singh and Surinder Kumar from the Financial Inclusion Department at the Zonal Office in Jammu provided comprehensive information about financial schemes such as PMSBY (Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana), PMJJBY (Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana), Atal Pension Yojana, among others. They explained the registration procedures for these schemes and emphasized the benefits they offer. Additionally, they encouraged students to share this knowledge with their relatives to help them also take advantage of these schemes.
Maria Farooq, Assistant Manager of J&K Bank's Jindrah branch, concluded the program by highlighting the various banking facilities and services available to customers. Jasneet Singh, Branch Head, and Rajeshwar Singh from Banking were also present during the event.
Paramjit Singh, Associate Professor, along with all the staff members of GDC Jindrah, attended the program. Paramjit Singh expressed his gratitude for the efforts made by the dignitaries from J&K Bank and thanked them for selecting GDC Jindrah as the venue for spreading awareness among students and staff about financial literacy.
This collaboration between GDC Jindrah and J&K Bank reflects a commitment to enhancing financial knowledge and ensuring that students and staff have access to valuable financial resources and services.
