| Stolen truck recovered with 48 hours | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 1- In continuation to the drive launched by District Police Jammu against the thefts and burglary, the Police recovered a stolen truck bearing registration No JK02AF-9327 from Nagri Bamyal road Kathua during the intervening night of 30/31-01-2009. In this regard case FIR No. 12/09 u/s 379/RPC stands registered at Police station R.S. Pura. The said truck was stolen by some unknown persons from Badyal Brahminan and the matter was reported to Police by the driver of truck, namely Chuni Lal son of Lekh Raj resident of Badyal Brahminan upon which a special team headed by Dy SP DSB Pritam Singh was constituted. During the course of investigation, clues were received through reliable sources and to nab the culprits and recover the truck the team working round the clock chased the thieves and finally located them in Nagri Kathua. The thieves fearing arrest at the hands of Police party kept the truck at the interior road and fled away taking advantage of darkness. The truck has been seized and brought to the concerned Police Station, which will be handed over to its owner after legal formalities as per order of Court. Efforts are on to arrest the persons involved in the said offence.
