Chairperson DDC lays foundation stone for drainage work in Sui

UDHAMPUR, Sept 11: Lal Chand, Chairperson of the District Development Council (DDC) in Udhampur, paid a visit to Ward Number 04 in Panchayat Sui Sambal today.
He laid the foundation stone for the construction of a robust drainage system under the District Plan, which extends from opposite Chuni Lal House to the newly developed teacher colony. This significant event took place in the presence of BDC Chairman, Balwan Singh, Sarpanch Panchayat Sambal Sui, Veena Kumari, and Sarpanch, Chakhar, Krishan Dutt.
During his interaction with the locals, Lal Chand engaged with the local community, listening to their developmental concerns. He extended his congratulations to the residents for the realization of their long-standing demand. The people of the area expressed their gratitude to Chairperson DDC for his active involvement in the welfare and development of their region. Lal Chand also expressed his satisfaction, stating that the much-needed drainage system in Ward Number 4 would now be upgraded through this construction work. He urged residents to refrain from using single-use plastics and polythene in their daily activities and to avoid disposing of garbage or waste in the drains. He emphasized the importance of locals taking advantage of the various flagship welfare schemes and programs launched by the Union Territory and central governments.
