Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 11: The Shiv Sena (UBT) unit in Jammu and Kashmir has strongly criticized the statement made by senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta regarding the Sarore Toll Plaza protest. They consider the statement disrespectful to the people of Jammu. In a press conference held at the party headquarters in Jammu, State President Manish Sahani expressed deep concern over the remarks made by the BJP leader. He stated that various political and social organizations, as well as the public, including the Youth Rajput Sabha, have taken to the streets to protest against the Sarore Toll Plaza. Sahani emphasized that making derogatory remarks about the people of Jammu who participated in the protest while accepting money from the BJP leader is an insult to the region’s residents. He reminded the BJP that the people of the Jammu region had given the party a massive mandate in both the 2014 State Assembly elections and the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. He asserted that the BJP has betrayed the trust of the people of Jammu. Sahani called on the BJP leadership to apologize to the residents of the region for their disparaging remarks and urged them to reconsider their stance on the Sarore Toll Plaza issue.
