Establish Kissan Mandis at easily accessible spots: Kavinder

JAMMU, Sept 12: Stressing upon the Agriculture authorities to establish the procurement centers/ Kissan Mandis at the easily accessible spots aound the villages in rural areas for the benefit of the farming community, said Kavinder Gupta on hearing the grievances of a deputation of prominent farmers of Chak Majara of Bishnah Tehsil.
The deputationists informed Kavinder Gupta that about eighteen villages of Bishnah Tehsil are the only area where 644 No 71-hybrid paddy is grown and Chak Majra is in the centre place. They said that a Kissan Mandi at Village Chack Majara, which is easily accessible spot, should be established before the season to facilitate the farmers.
Kavinder Gupta gave a patient hearing to the deputationists and took up the issue with the Principal Secretary, Agriculture Production and stressed upon him to take appropriate steps to meet the genuine demand of the farmers.
Kavinder Gupta, former Dy. CM and RS Pathania, former MLA & BJP Spokesperson accompanied by Shailja Gupta, J&K BJP working committee member were attending to the public grievances at BJP headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
While conducting grievance redressal at BJP headquarters, Jammu, Kavinder Gupta, former Deputy Chief Minister, called for a responsive and a pro-active grievance redressal mechanism. He said that with the same responsiveness and commitment to the masses, senior party leaders are daily attending the public grievances at the party headquarter.
Pathania said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Union Government is a farmer friendly government that has taken a number of initiatives to improve their economic condition. Kissan Samman Nidhi, Soil Health Card, enhancement of MSP are among major initiatives of Modi government for the benefit of the farmers across the country.
Numerous individuals and deputations from different parts of Jammu & Kashmir visited the party office to represent the issues of their respective areas as well as their individual concerns before the senior party leaders.
Listening patiently to the various issues represented by the deputations, Kavinder Gupta and RS Pathania telephonically talked to the concerned departmental officials for resolving the issues and also issued letters to many of them.
