9/12/2023 10:21:04 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 12: In a continuation of the ‘Meri Mati, Mera Desh’ campaign, Vinay Gupta, a senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Seh Prabhari for Jammu North District, along with Ved Sharma, Co-incharge of BJP all Cells, launched a door-to-door campaign in ward no. 22, Shastri Nagar, Bahu Constituency. The campaign aimed to collect soil (‘Mitti’) from various households as part of the national initiative titled “Meri Mati, Mera Desh.”
During the campaign, an impromptu meeting was held regarding the “Meri Mati Mera Desh” program at Ved Sharma’s residence, attended by prominent individuals from the area. Vinay Gupta appealed to the residents to collect fistfuls of rice or tulsi leaves from households where soil was not available.
Vinay Gupta expressed, “The ‘Meri Mati, Mera Desh’ campaign is a tribute to India’s land and the bravery of its people.
It’s a mission to bring together scents from various cultures across the nation and foster a profound sense of patriotism in the hearts of our citizens. This campaign aims to instill a sense of belongingness to every Indian, particularly when visiting the ‘Amrit Vatika.’”
He explained that Prime Minister Narendra Modi leads this campaign, where soil collected from households and the ground near statues/memorials of martyrs will be transported to the national capital. There, it will contribute to the creation of ‘Amrit Vatika’ in front of ‘Rashtrapati Bhawan’ on ‘Kartavya Path.’
Vinay Gupta, accompanied by party workers, also conducted a padhyatra (foot march) in ward no. 22, Shastri Nagar, and engaged in an interactive session with the general public.
During the ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh’ campaign, Vinay Gupta highlighted the achievements of the Modi-led government and encouraged the public to take advantage of the various schemes initiated by the central government. He emphasized that it is his moral duty to be among the people and serve their interests.
