Rs one lakh given to 37 militancy-affected children in Kashmir

Srinagar, Sep 20 The Jammu and Kashmir government has given Rs one lakh to 37 militancy-affected children in Pattan tehsil of Baramulla district, an official spokesman said today.

He said Rs 7.83 lakh were distributed among 3546 beneficiaries under the Integrated Social Security Scheme (ISSS) and the National Old Age Pension Scheme (NOAPS).

The spokesman said the Social Welfare Department has provided Rs 5.10 lakh to 51 beneficiaries under the National Benefit Scheme and Rs 1.53 lakh as scholarship to 950 students belonging to weaker sections of the society.
