GDC Sunderbani conduct cleanliness drive in commemoration of Gandhi Jayanti

SUNDERBANI, Sept 13: In observance of the Gandhi Jayanti celebrations, the NSS (National Service Scheme) unit of Government Degree College Sunderbani, in collaboration with the Eco Club, undertook a meaningful Cleanliness Drive within the college premises. This initiative aimed to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi's commitment to cleanliness and sanitation.
Volunteers from the NSS unit and Eco Club actively participated in the Cleanliness Drive, diligently collecting solid waste from various areas within the college campus.
With environmental responsibility in mind, the collected waste was appropriately disposed of at the designated disposal site, ensuring a clean and hygienic environment.
The event was effectively organized by Prof. Sheraz Kousser, the Program Officer (PO) of NSS, and Prof. Beant Singh, the Convenor of the Eco Club. Their dedication and leadership played a crucial role in the successful execution of the drive.
The entire initiative was carried out under the vigilant supervision of Dr. Mohd Azam, ensuring that the cleanliness drive proceeded smoothly and efficiently.
Several other staff members, including Prof. Sham Lal, Supriya Sharma, and Prof. Khursheed, actively participated in the drive, demonstrating their commitment to the cause of cleanliness and environmental conservation.
The Cleanliness Drive organized by the NSS unit and Eco Club of Government Degree College Sunderbani reflects the spirit of Gandhi Jayanti and serves as a meaningful tribute to Mahatma Gandhi's values and principles. It underscores the importance of cleanliness and sanitation in creating a healthy and hygienic environment for all.
