JAMMU, Sept 13: In a fervent celebration of Hindi Diwas, GDC Sidhra, under the Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav, organized a program that brought together distinguished personalities to emphasize the importance of the Hindi language. Hindi Diwas, celebrated annually on September 14th, holds a special place in promoting and preserving this national language.
Dr. B.B. Sharma, a distinguished and eminent personality, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honor. His presence added prestige to the event, and he actively engaged with the audience, sharing his experiences and wisdom.
The program commenced with a warm welcome address delivered by Prof. Pooja Sharma, the Head of the Dogri department at GDC Sidhra. Her words set a welcoming tone for the event. Principal Dr. B.B. Anand delivered an insightful speech, sharing valuable thoughts with the faculty and students. He stressed the significance of the Hindi language and its role in India's struggle for independence.
Dr. B.B. Sharma engaged the audience with a vibrant interaction, shedding light on Hindi's importance as a unifying language. He traced the origin of Hindi and highlighted its crucial role in India's fight for independence. He underscored that Hindi plays an indispensable role in every aspect of life and should be actively promoted. The program received strong support from Principal Dr. B.B. Anand, who provided his patronage for the event.
Dr. Satbir Kour, the Head of the Punjabi department, and Prof. Pooja Sharma, Head of the Dogri department, were instrumental in successfully organizing the event, ensuring its smooth execution.
The program concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Princy Sharma, expressing gratitude to all participants and attendees for their active participation in celebrating the richness and significance of the Hindi language.
