SDM Gool listens to public grievances; reviews progress on developmental projects

RAMBAN, Sept 14: Sub Divisional Magistrate, Gool Tanveer-ul-Majid today convened a meeting in his office chambers to review progress on implementation of various projects and schemes under PWD (R&B), PMGSY, Irrigation, Flood Control, Jal Shakti, RDD and Education sectors. Chairperson, Block Development Council, Gool, Shakeela Begum along with PRIs participated in the meeting also attended by the officers and representatives of various line departments.
The SDM took action reports from all the officers regarding redressal of public issues and grievances pertaining to their respective departments.
He took a detailed review of the progress on developmental works being executed by the various departments under different schemes across Sub Division Gool, especially restoration and up-gradations of road connectivity, Irrigation Kulls, School Infrastructure, Execution of Water Supply Schemes including the Jal Jeevan Mission schemes and identification of land for various government projects was also conducted on the occasion. Progress on construction of soakage pits, SBM toilets, PMAY and AWAS Plus was also discussed in detail. The SDM directed Naib Tehsildar Gool to verify the payment made to the beneficiaries under PMAY, AWAS Plus and Soakage Pits in Dachan and Daeda area and submit a report within a week's time.
Evaluating the progress on various Irrigation Kouls and PWD projects, the SDM directed Assistant Executive Engineer PWD to monitor and follow up the restoration work taken up on Dachan-Daeda Road and submit an action taken report within three days, particularly in wake of various complaints from the public.
On the request of BDC Chairperson Gool, Naib Tehsildar Ind and Gool have been directed to identify land for constructing a Community Hall in Panchayat Gool-C within a week's time for further course of action in this regard.
