9/14/2023 10:21:15 PM
Early Times Report
SUNDERBANI, Sept 14: As part of the Gandhi Jayanti celebrations, the NSS unit of Government Degree College Sunderbani collaborated with the career counseling and placement cell of the college, along with Indian Army BN 54 RR, to organize a motivational lecture. The lecture aimed to inspire the young generation to consider a career in the Indian Armed Forces and also shed light on Mahatma Gandhi's pivotal role in mobilizing masses during the freedom struggle.
The event began by acknowledging Mahatma Gandhi's influence on igniting nationalist sentiments among the people. During the non-cooperation movement, citizens boycotted schools and colleges, prioritizing the nation's interests. This unity across all sections of society was instrumental in the fight for India's independence. Gandhi's leadership in a non-violent civil disobedience movement against British injustice further fueled nationalist fervor.
Major Anurag Shrivastav of 54 RR (Chani Prat) elucidated various entry schemes, procedures, and eligibility criteria for joining the Indian Armed Forces. His informative lecture aimed to encourage young minds to consider serving the motherland.
Hony. Capt. Bansi Lal Sharma, a recipient of the Sena Medal, was the chief guest of the event and was felicitated for his act of bravery. He shared his experiences with the students, motivating them to serve their country and instill a deep sense of nationalism. He highlighted the significant role played by the masses in the freedom movement.
The event was meticulously organized by Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Dr. Pares Ram, and NSS Program Officer Prof. Sheraz Kousser. The staff members, including Dr. Mohd Azam, Prof. Sham Lal, Mr. Mohd Rafiq, Prof. Beant Singh, Prof. Mukesh Kumar, Prof. Ganga Sharma, Dr. Arpan, Lect. Rajnesh Kumar, Dr. Khursheed Ahmed, Dr. Munzafeer Rashid, Mrs. Neha, Mrs. Nishu, and Mr. Suresh, were all present to lend their support.
The motivational lecture and discussion at Government Degree College Sunderbani served as an inspirational platform for the youth to consider a career in the Indian Armed Forces. Additionally, it highlighted the enduring significance of Mahatma Gandhi's role in fostering nationalism and mobilizing the masses during India's quest for freedom.
