GDC Mahanpur celebrates Hindi Diwas to honor India's linguistic diversity

MAHANPUR, Sept 14: Govt. Degree College Mahanpur joyously celebrated Hindi Diwas, also known as Hindi Day, on September 14th, marking the historic adoption of Hindi in the Devanagari script as one of India's official languages. The event, which emphasized the rich linguistic diversity of India and the promotion of the Hindi language, was orchestrated under the guidance of Dr. Sangeeta Sudan, the college's esteemed Principal.
Dr. Sangeeta Sudan, in her address, shed light on the importance of Hindi Diwas, emphasizing that it signifies the remarkable linguistic tapestry of India. She underscored the role of the day in advocating for the use and preservation of the Hindi language, a vital component of India's cultural heritage.
Dr. Sapna Devi, Head of the Hindi Department, played a pivotal role in organizing and hosting the program. Distinguished faculty members, including Prof. Arvind Kumar, Prof. Meena Devi, Prof. Saurabh Dutta, Dr. Parshotam Dass, Dr. Hilal Ahmed Bhat, Dr. Md. Sardar Bharti, Prof. Suman, and Prof. Ajay Singh Manhas, graced the occasion with their presence and support.
Approximately 20 students actively participated in various activities that added vibrancy to the event. These activities included speeches, dances, skits, songs, poster making, and rangoli artistry. The college also provided refreshments to all participants, enhancing the celebratory atmosphere.
Dr. Sangeeta Sudan expressed her appreciation for the commendable efforts of the Hindi department in organizing the event and fostering a sense of pride and awareness about the Hindi language and its cultural significance.
The Hindi Diwas celebration at Govt. Degree College Mahanpur exemplifies the institution's commitment to nurturing and celebrating India's diverse linguistic heritage. Through this event, students and faculty came together to honor the Hindi language and its cultural significance, ensuring that it continues to thrive and prosper as an integral part of India's identity.
