GDC Mahanpur host symposium on "Truth and Non-Violence"

MAHANPUR, Sept 15: In tribute to the celebration of "Gandhi Jayanti," the NSS unit of the college, in collaboration with the Department of Education at Government Degree College (GDC) Mahanpur, organized an enlightening symposium. This event was conducted under the patronage of the esteemed Principal of the college, Dr. Sangeeta Sudan.
The central theme of this symposium was "Truth and Non-Violence," reflecting the enduring principles championed by Mahatma Gandhi. This symposium was part of a series of activities designed to honor the spirit of Gandhi Jayanti.
Students from both semester III and semester V took the stage to present their perspectives on the given theme. They passionately emphasized the importance of embracing Gandhian values, highlighting them as the cornerstone for achieving peace and success in today's world.
The presence of distinguished faculty members added depth and insight to the event. Among those in attendance were Dr. Balbinder Singh, Prof. Arvind Kumar, Dr. Sapna Devi, Dr. Ajay Manhas, Dr. Mohd. Sardar, and Dr. Hilal Ahmed Bhat.
The successful organization of the entire program was attributed to the efforts of Prof. Meena Devi (NSS Programme Officer) and Ms. Suman (Lecturer in Education). Their dedication and commitment ensured that the symposium on "Truth and Non-Violence" was a meaningful and thought-provoking event, inspiring students and faculty alike to reflect on the enduring relevance of Gandhian values in our modern society.
