GAD Secy launches workshop to celebrate Hindi Diwas at Ladakh

LEH, Sept 15: The Secretary of the General Administration Department, UT Ladakh Yatinder M. Maralkar launched the workshop to celebrate the Hindi Diwas at the Civil Secretariat, Leh.
The Secretary highlighted the significance of the Hindi language in India's cultural, historical, and administrative contexts. It plays a vital role in preserving linguistic diversity while also promoting the unity and identity of the nation, he added. He stated celebrating Hindi Diwas helps reinforce the importance of the language and encourages its continued use.
Stressing promoting and popularising Hindi as a language of the masses, Assistant Professor Dr. Tsering Chorol said it is our collective responsibility to promote regional languages as well as the Hindi language. The UT Administration is trying to identify the gap areas and organize more such programs/workshops for further promoting Hindi as a language," she added.
She also offered all possible help in promoting the Hindi language at the grassroots level and hoped the program would act as the pedestal of connectivity for future activities. She also highlighted the aim of celebrating 'Hindi Diwas', and also delineated the objectives of organizing the workshop.
