Labour department extends educational aid to wards of registered workers | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Sept 15: Saloni Rai, Deputy Commissioner Udhampur disbursed an amount of Rs. 40.99 Lakh (Rupees Forty Lakh, Ninety-Nine Thousand and Five Hundred only) to support the education of wards of registered construction workers here at simple function. This assistance has been provided under the Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (BOCWWB) schemes, specifically meant for registered Workers. In her address at the event, the Deputy Commissioner commended the continuous efforts of the Labour Department in providing financial relief to underprivileged laborers. She emphasized the need to extend the benefits of government schemes to maximum number of workers, stressing that the economic and social security of the labor class remains a top priority for the government. Pradyot Gupta, Assistant Labour Commissioner Udhampur, also participated in the event and provided insights into the primary objective of the BOCWWB scheme. He highlighted that the scheme aims not only to extend financial assistance to needy laborers through various components but also to uplift the economic prospects of registered construction workers. |
