Jammu, Sept 15: Senior citizen Rejuvenation centre Trikuta Nagar along with BJP District President Jammu South Rekha Mahajan takes out Candle light March in memory of soldiers of Anantnag attack to remember the sacrifices of these brave hearts in light of duty in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu South. District President Rekha Mahajan,Former Corporator ShubChander Verma, President Baldev Raj Gupta and other members of the society condemned the attack.
Rekha Mahajan said that she was deeply saddened by the terrible loss of young officers in dastardly terrorist attack.She added that government is committed to respond strongly to Pakistan s nefarious designs. In a solemn and heartfelt tribute to the bravehearts who made the ultimate sacrifice of life in the line of duty at Kokernag, Anantnag, Rekha Mahajan and citizens from all walks of life came together in a candlelight march today evening at Trikuta Nagar. The candlelight marches were held for poignant, peaceful demonstration of solidarity, to mourn the loss of valiant soldiers and to express profound gratitude for their unwavering commitment to the nation.
Rekha Mahajan along with others hold a candlelight march in memory of the supreme sacrifice/ martyrdom of Colonel Manpreet Singh, Commanding Officer of 19 RR, Major Aashish Dhonchak, DySP J&K Police Humayun Bhat in encounter at Gadole area of Kokernag in Anantnag district.
The candles were lit in the main market, Trikuta Nagar.
