GDC Mahanpur inspires students with Slogan Writing Competition in honor of Gandhi Jayanti

MAHANPUR, Sept 16: Government Degree College (GDC) Mahanpur continued its celebration of Gandhi Jayanti by organizing a spirited Slogan Writing Competition. The event, held under the patronage of the esteemed Principal of the college, Dr. Sangeeta Sudan, aimed to promote the ideals of truth and non-violence, which were central to Mahatma Gandhi's philosophy.
The theme for the competition, "Truth and Non-Violence," resonated with the principles that Mahatma Gandhi passionately advocated throughout his life. Students from both Semester III and Semester V enthusiastically participated in the competition, using their creativity to craft colorful posters adorned with beautiful slogans that conveyed profound messages.
The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Balbinder Singh, Dr. Mohd. Sardar, and Dr. Hilal Ahmed Bhat, who lent their support and encouragement to the participants. Their presence added depth and significance to the occasion, underscoring the importance of the values celebrated during Gandhi Jayanti.
The entire program was skillfully organized by a dedicated team consisting of Prof. Arvind Kumar, Dr. Sapna Devi, and Prof. Suman. Their meticulous planning and execution ensured that the competition ran smoothly, providing students with a meaningful platform to express their thoughts and creativity.
Gandhi Jayanti, which falls on October 2nd, is a day when India commemorates the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, a towering figure in the nation's history. It serves as a reminder of his unwavering commitment to truth, non-violence, and social justice. The Slogan Writing Competition at GDC Mahanpur continues to be an integral part of the college's efforts to honor Gandhi's legacy and instill these values in the hearts of the younger generation.
