FICCI FLO JKL, Scheam India organises Uday programmes
9/16/2023 10:25:10 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 16: The collaborative initiative between FICCI FLO JKL and Bangalore-based Scheam India, known as the 'Uday Programme,' is making significant strides in fostering entrepreneurship and innovation in the Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh regions. Aptly named 'Uday: Nayi Ummeedon Ki Shuruaat' (the beginning of new hopes), this program is creating a promising pathway for young talents.
At its core, the 'Uday Programme' aims to instill an entrepreneurial mindset in young individuals, nurturing their creativity and providing essential support to transform their ideas into successful businesses. Varuna Anand, a key figure in this initiative, emphasizes the collective responsibility to boost the startup ecosystem by identifying and supporting young talents with exceptional ideas, enabling them to turn their concepts into thriving ventures.
One of the program's highlights is the substantial cash prize of 51,000/- awarded to five finalists in the student category. Additionally, financial support, mentorship, and guidance are provided to five students whose ideas exhibit the potential for growth and success in the undergraduate category.
By investing in these budding entrepreneurs, 'Uday' aspires to cultivate a vibrant startup culture in the region while promoting gender inclusivity within the startup landscape. The application process for this program is user-friendly and free, accessible via the official website at www.udaystartup.in.
Varuna Anand underscores that the 'Uday' investment program caters to two distinct age-based categories: students from Class 9 to Class 12 and those pursuing undergraduate studies in colleges. 'Uday' primarily focuses on engaging and nurturing young entrepreneurs, providing them with crucial resources, mentorship, and financial support to refine their innovative concepts. This strategic approach seeks to instill an entrepreneurial spirit from an early age, fostering a culture of creativity, problem-solving, and sustainable economic growth within the targeted regions.
The organization's primary objective is to transform individuals into job providers rather than job seekers, addressing a pressing need to shift this fundamental mindset within the region.
In the realm of entrepreneurship in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, the 'UDAY: Nayi Ummeedon Ki Shuruaat' initiative stands as a sincere effort to encourage and provide a beacon of hope for aspiring young minds. It is poised to act as a catalyst for change in the entrepreneurial landscape of the region, promoting innovation, economic growth, and self-reliance.
