Div Com reviews arrangements for Air Show being held at Jammu Air Force Station

JAMMU, Sept 16: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar today chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the arrangements being put in place for smooth conduct of the Air Show.
The Government of Jammu and Kashmir in collaboration with Air Force Station Jammu is going to present a spectacular Air Show at Air Force Station Jammu on September 22, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM.
The Div Com reviewed in detail all the arrangements like security, parking facilities, seating arrangements, invitations, sanitation, water power arrangements etc.
To maintain cleanliness, the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) was entrusted with sanitation and garbage clearance in the vicinity of Air Force Station. The CEO Cantonment Board was directed to oversee cleanliness and bush cutting within his jurisdiction.
Ensuring smooth traffic flow around the venue, SSP Traffic was instructed to formulate a comprehensive traffic management plan and identify suitable parking areas. Additionally, the Traffic Department will issue a Traffic Advisory to avoid inconvenience to commuters.
To attract a wide audience, the Tourist Department was mandated to carry out extensive publicity, printing of invitation cards, and making seating arrangements.
The Information Department was assigned the task of installing Public Address Systems (PAS) and managing media coverage during the event.
LED screens would also be installed with live footage for the audience.
It was clarified that only invitees with passes would have access to the venue, while the general public and audience members can enjoy the Air Show from designated viewing locations.
The meeting was attended by DIG Traffic Shridhar Patel, Commissioner JMC, Rahul Yadav, Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Sachin Kumar Vaishya, Director Tourism, Vivekanand Rai, COO Air Force Station Jammu, Gp Capt Y K Kandalgar besides SSP Traffic, Director Health, Joint Director Information, Atul Gupta, Deputy Director Planning, Munish Dutta, Joint Directors of Tourism, Hospitality and Protocol, School Education, Fire services, Chief Engineer JPDCL, SE PWD and other concerned officers.
