BMS celebrates Vishawkarma Jayanti with zeal, enthusiasm

Kishtwar, Sept 17: Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh celebrated vishwakarma Jyanti (Rashtriya Sharam Divas) at District head quarter Kishtwar in which workers of all the power projects I.e. Keru, Qwar, Pakal, Dool and Dangduru participated under the banner of Kissan Mazdoor union in which hundreds of workers participated. Pooja of Baba Vishwkarma ji held and langar was also distributed among the workers. The Deputy commissioner of District Kishtwar Dr. Divansh Yadav (IAS) Yadav was the chief guest and graced the occasion while addressing the workers he advised the workers instead of going on strike or work suspension all the possible chenals of talks must be exhausted and also offered for making a system for monthly meeting with him for workers grievances. Harbans Choudhary working President Ashok Choudhary organizing Secretary BMS J-K also addressed the workers. And demanded that 17 September must be declared as national labour day instead of 1st may and holiday must be declared on 17 September and also thanked the Honble prime minister for launching PM Vishwakara Scheme for up lifting the vishwkarama sector and it will help the artisans and craftsman who are traditionally engaged in this sector.
Rakesh Thakur and Naseeb Singh President and general Secretary of the kissan Mazdoor union also address the workers and stressed upon the unit presidents not to take decision on their own level for work suspension without the permission of union body. Numbers of workers delegations from projects met separately state BMS team and high lighted their grievances regarding wages anomolies and high handedness on the part of managements of the projects. The programe was ended with the vote of thanks from the president of the union.
