The Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust celebrates International Gurjar Day

Jammu, Sept 18: The Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust celebrated International Gurjar Day on the occasion of Gurjar Pratiharas Samrat Mihir Bhoj Jayanti. The event, held in Jammu, saw the participation of trustees of Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust, heads of various Gurjar organizations, and a large number of people from the Gujjar community, including youths. Mr. Shah Mohammad Chowdhary Advocate presided over the function, and several prominent figures from the community addressed the gathering.
The Chairman of the Trust praised the role of the first Gurjar Samrat, Mihir Bhoj, highlighting his contributions and consolidation of Gurjar Desha territories, particularly Saurashtra. This day was also observed as a unity day, emphasizing the importance of unity among the Gujjar community. Speakers at the event stressed that regardless of their religious affiliations, Gujjars around the world are one community. They called for unity on community issues and encouraged Gujjar youths to pursue modern education. The Gujjars also pledged their commitment to the protection and integrity of India, their homeland.
The celebration of International Gurjar Day served as a platform for the Gujjar community to come together, celebrate their cultural heritage, and reinforce the bonds of unity. It was an occasion to remember and honor Gurjar Pratiharas Samrat Mihir Bhoj and his significant role in history.

The students of Brig. Khuda Baksh Memorial Higher Secondary School actively participated in the event, adding youthful energy to the celebration.
