| Bovine smuggling foiled, 3 held | | |

Jammu, Feb 02- Police recovered bovine and arrested driver of the two vehicles who were being involved to smuggle these in three Trucks bearing registration No. 1695/JK02S, 9502/JK14 and 6797/JK02AC near Batote of district Ramban this afternoon.
Police spokesman said that, after developing an information regarding smuggling of
bovine from Jammu to Srinagar, Police party of Police Station Batote headed by SDPO
Ramban Talib Hussain swung into action and intercepted the said vehicles and
seized thirty five bovine from these. Accused drivers namely Sabar Ali son of
Faqar Din resident of Makhanpur Gujjra Jammu and Abdul Rashid son of Atta
Mohammed resident of Sangaldana Ramban were arrested while another driver namely
Fareed son of Saif-Din Bhat resident of Ramban fled away from the spot. Police has
launched a hunt to nab the absconding driver .A case FIR No 6/2009 u/s 188 RPC stands
registered at PS Batote.
