Early Times Report
RAMNAGAR, Sept 19: The NSS unit of Government Degree College (GDC) Ramnagar organized an inspiring Slogan Writing Competition to pay homage to the ideals of Gandhi Jayanti, focusing on the theme of "Truth and Non-Violence." The event took place under the esteemed patronage of Dr. Bhavnaish Chand, Principal of GDC Ramnagar.
Approximately 16 students wholeheartedly participated in this competition, displaying their enthusiasm and creative prowess as they penned slogans resonating with the ideology and philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi. These slogans served as powerful expressions of the principles dear to the Father of the Nation. The winners of the competition were acknowledged and honored with mementos as a token of appreciation for their beautifully crafted slogans.
The event was skillfully coordinated by Prof. Ritika Mahajan, the NSS Programme Officer, and the performance of the students was impartially evaluated by the esteemed jury members, Prof. Harmeet Kour and Prof. Rashmi.
Principal Dr. Bhavnaish Chand praised the efforts of the entire team and expressed his belief that such programs play a crucial role in instilling the principles of Gandhian philosophy and the path of ahimsa (non-violence) among students. He emphasized the importance of continuing such initiatives to keep the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi alive and relevant in the modern world.
The Slogan Writing Competition at GDC Ramnagar was not only a testament to the creative spirit of the students but also a means to perpetuate the values of truth and non-violence championed by the Father of the Nation. It served as a reminder that Gandhi's teachings continue to inspire and guide us in our pursuit of a just and harmonious society.
