HC allows petitioners to hold Bhandara at Shiv Khori

Jammu, Feb 02- Allowing the CMP seeking permission o conduct religious rituals,
bhandara at the Samadhi of Lt. Mahant Romesh Giri Ji the holy shrine of Shiv Ji Maharaj
Shiv Khori, Justice YP Nargotra of J&K High Court Jammu Wing today permitted the
organizers of holding the Bhandra, outside the cave at Shiv Khori.

Justice Nagrotra observed that a similar application was also filed last year which was
disposed off on February 7, 2008 by granting permission to the petitioners for holding the
Bhandara. Similar direction deserves to be passed in the present application.
Justice Nargotra further observed that since senior Advocate UK Jalali and Advocate SS
Ahmed appearing for the respondents have no serious objection to allowing of the
prayer made by the petitioners, accordingly this CMP is allowed and the petitioners are
permitted to hold Bhandara at the holy shrine of Shiv Ji Maharaj, Shiv Khori outside the
cave. With this direction, the court disposed off this CMP.
In this petition Advocate BS Manhas and Advocate DS Thakur appeared for the
petitioners. JNF
