9/20/2023 10:44:56 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 20: In a significant development, Ritika Trehan, the Chief Spokesperson of the BJP Mahila Morcha in Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory, expressed her appreciation for the Government of Prime Minister Modi and the introduction of the Women’s Reservation Bill. She hailed this move as a transformative moment in the nation’s history.
In a statement issued, Ritika emphasized that the Women’s Reservation Bill, which seeks to provide reservations for women in legislatures, would be a powerful tool for empowering women and strengthening the democratic foundation of the nation. She stated, “The transformative law will address historical injustices and give voice to the aspirations of half of our population.”
Ritika described this as the beginning of a cooperative and collaborative political effort towards national renewal. She also commended the naming of the legislation as the “Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam.”
Once the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam is passed, the number of seats for women in the Lok Sabha will increase to 181, she noted. Ritika highlighted that women have demonstrated their abilities, strength, and courage, proving that they are capable and dependable leaders. Therefore, the “Women Reservation Bill” should be viewed as a “Women Empowerment Bill.”
Ritika underlined the positive impact of women in various spheres, including breaking social myths, contributing to public goods, reducing corruption, prioritizing healthcare, education, and welfare programs, and advocating for inclusive policies benefiting marginalized groups.
In summary, Ritika Trehan celebrated the Women’s Reservation Bill as a monumental step towards gender equality and women’s empowerment, acknowledging the significant contributions of women to society and governance.
