CBC's 2nd day of Multimedia Exhibition on Seva Sushan & Garib Kalyan

BASANTGARH, Sept 21: On the second day of the 3-day Multimedia Exhibition on Seva Sushan & Garib Kalyan, Mission LiFE, Tehsildar Basantgarh, Sh. Karanjeet Singh presided over the event. The exhibition was part of the celebration of the 6th Rashtriya Poshan Maah (National Nutrition Month) and aimed to generate awareness among the masses in far-flung areas. Tehsildar Basantgarh, Sh. Karanjeet Singh, highlighted the importance of outreach programs in connecting far-flung areas with the mainstream and creating awareness among the masses.
Khursheed Yousuf, Field Publicity Officer, CBC, Udhampur, explained that the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), under the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, disseminates information about government policies, schemes, and programs, especially in remote and media-shadowed areas like Basantgarh.
Yousuf also discussed the 6th Rashtriya Poshan Maah's focus on raising awareness about critical human life stages, including pregnancy, infancy, childhood, and adolescence, with the theme "Suposhit Bharat, Sakshar Bharat, Sashakt Bharat" (Nutritionally rich India, Literate India, Empowered India).
Anuradha Sharma, Child Development Project Officer, Basantgarh, praised the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) scheme, emphasizing its role in improving health, nutrition, and education within the community.
Block Development Officer, Basantgarh, Sh. Jahanzeb, informed the audience about various initiatives in rural development, especially regarding Swachha Abhiyan (Clean India). He encouraged everyone to work together to keep Basantgarh clean and protect the fragile environment.
The event included students, teachers, locals, ICDS workers, supervisors, Anganwadi Workers, and was attended by Principal GHSS Basantgarh, Sh. Rajinder Kumar. Sh. Gurnam Singh, TA(s) CBC, Udhampur, moderated the event.
The program featured an on-the-spot quiz competition on Seva Sushasan & Garib Kalyan, as well as patriotic songs and cultural performances by students and Empanelled PRT of CBC. Prizes were distributed to the winners of the quiz competition and cultural programs.
