GDC RS Pura students shine in "Swachhta Hi Sewa Campaign" painting competition

RS PURA, Sept 22: R.S. Pura, Students from Government Degree College, R. S. Pura, have brought honor and recognition to their institution by excelling in the "Swachhta Hi Sewa Campaign" organized by the Directorate of Rural Sanitation, Jammu and Kashmir. The college students showcased their artistic talents in a painting competition, achieving remarkable success under the guidance of Principal Dr. Rajni Bhagat, and the dedicated supervision of Dr. Anuradha, Convener of the Cultural Committee, Lt. Shaveta Chowdhary, ANO of Girls NCC, and Ms. Sukhwinder Kour, Member of the NSS Committee.
In an event that celebrated the ideals of cleanliness and community service, the students' participation was marked by enthusiasm and a commitment to making a positive impact. Their creative expressions through art not only highlighted their talents but also conveyed the importance of cleanliness and sanitation.
The results of the painting competition were a testament to the students' dedication and artistic flair:
Lakshmi Narayan from Semester V secured the first prize.
Gautam Sandhu, also from Semester V, earned the second prize.
Bharti Devi, representing Semester V as well, clinched the third prize.
During the event, the Girls NCC cadets had the privilege of interacting with the esteemed Chief Guest, S. Bana Singh Ji, PVC. This interaction provided an opportunity for the cadets to engage in meaningful discussions about the importance of cyber security, a topic of growing relevance in today's digital age.
The participation of all the students was characterized by their zeal and unwavering enthusiasm, reflecting their commitment to the principles of the "Swachhta Hi Sewa Campaign." Their exceptional performance not only brought laurels to Government Degree College, R. S. Pura, but also underscored the significance of community engagement and the vital role of education in promoting social responsibility and civic awareness.
