BJP Mahila Morcha to play vital role in upcoming polls in J&K: Kavinder
9/22/2023 10:43:12 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 22: Kavinder Gupta, senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, while asserting that Women Reservation Bill passed by the Parliament will result in real empowerment of women across the nation, said that the BJP Mahila Mocha, the Women's Wing of the party, has a very vital role to play in the upcoming polls.
He expressed this while addressing the workers and activists of Mahila Morcha during a programme organised by Mahila Morcha President Sanjita Dogra in the presence of her General Secretaries Neha Mahajan and Reema Padha. Program was held at the party headquarters here today.
Speaking on the occasion, Kavinder said that Mahila Morcha has already been playing a vital role in the BJP organization and its role has assumed greater significance in today's scenario with the coming into existence of the Women's Reservation law. He said that as of today when the opposition parties under INDIA Alliance are out to mislead the people on the unprecedented achievements of the BJP Govt, it is the responsibility of the Morcha activists to counter such moves of opposition parties with full might under a well planned strategy.
The senior BJP leader said that in this regard the Morcha activists must equip themselves with full-fledged knowledge about the working of party its policies and programmes and accordingly formulate the strategies in the respective areas giving due credence to the local factors also. He said that after feeling desperate on seeing no scope of returning to power the opposition parties under the banner of I.N.D.I Alliance have been resorting to the cheap practices never ever witnessed in the Indian democracy. He said therefore it becomes inevitable for the Mahila Morcha activists to remain vigilant and be present among the people at the grass roots level to counter the misdeeds of disgruntled opposition.
Kavinder Gupta asserted that the Mahila Morcha will not play significant role in upcoming ULP polls only but even in the J&K Assembly polls whenever held as well as the 2024 Parliamentary elections. He expressed happiness over the fact that the new Lok Sabha will have a substantial number of women MPs as a result of the historic measure of thirty three percent reservation to women.
Among those who were present in the meeting include Ankush Gupta, Neeraj Lucky Puri, Anita Gandotra, Suman Raina, Sunita Gupta, Poonam Gupta, Indu Puri, Sneh Lata, Sarojini, Karuna Chetri, Neelam Nargotra, Veena Rathore, Reeta Kotwal, Aarti Koul.
