| MLC’s son was murdered by his three friends over love affair: Crime Branch | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 2: In sensational case of mysterious killing of the son of senior Congress leader Lal Mohammad Saber, the Crime Branch of Jammu and Kashmir Police have informed the Court, on basis of its rigorous investigations, that the deceased was killed by his three friends under a well planned conspiracy.
Producing challans against three accused, the friends of the deceased, the Crime Branch said that affair of Murtaza Saber (the Congress leader’s) son was the cause of enmity between the friends which led to the conspiracy and eventual murder. The Crime Branch today produced a challan against the three accused identified as Irafan Mehmood son of Mehmood Ahmed Resident of Gujjar Nagar Jammu, Qamaran Rahuf son of Abdul Rahuf of Baderwah at present Gujjar Nagar, Azar Ahmed Tak son of Tariq Ahmed Tak resident of Baderwah presently at Prem Nagar near Jogi Gate Jammu in the court of law in case FIR No.128/2008 U/S 302/34/RPC registered with police station Jhajjar Kotli.
Giving investigation details, an official spokesman said that a team of officers of Crime Branch Jammu was constituted to investigate the said case and during the course of investigation in Crime Branch Jammu, the team of officers visited place of occurrence re- constructed the scene of crime, prepared site plan and also got the photography of the place of occurrence. The statements of prosecution witnesses were recorded. The viscera of the deceased were again sent to FSL Chandigarh for re-examination. Queries were put to Doctors, who conducted Postmortem of the deceased. The accused persons were taken to place of occurrence and scene of crime after seeking necessary permission from the court of law. The accused persons were again subjected to lie detection test in FSL Jammu and were also questioned /interrogated thoroughly. The opinion obtained from FSL Chandigarh confirmed the cause of death of the deceased Murtza Saber due to Aluminum Phosphide.
From the circumstantial evidence postmortem report as well as FSL opinion, it has been proved that above said accused persons have with criminal intention mixed poison in the drinks of deceased Murtza Sabber and killed him due to enmity over girls. Deceased Murtza Saber had physical relations with girl which was not liked by Irfan Mehmood. He in connivance with other two co accused hatched a criminal conspiracy to do away with the deceased. Accordingly on the fate full day they called deceased and took him to Surinsar in Maruti Car No.6810/JK02W, on way they procured large quantity of liquor i.e one Bottle green label, two quarters of green label, one quarter of Kerla and two Beer cans, with the intention of intoxicating and killing him by mixing Salphos tablets used for killing rats (Aluminum Phosphide) poison and stopped at the Hotel of Mohammed Hanief at Ragoora (Sidhra) and consumed the Bottle of wine there, thereafter they went to Surinsar. The plan was executed at Surinsar when deceased was throwing dough to the fishes in the lake in the mean time the three accused persons taking advantage of the absence the deceased mixed the Aluminum Phosphide Tablet in the drinks of the deceased, which he consumed on way back on reaching Urkhal Mord when the condition of the deceased started deteriorating they dumped him in the woods in a nallaha at about 20, feet down to indicate that he had slipped while attending the nature call. As such offences U/S 302/34/RPC are established against these accused persons who have been challaned in the Court of law for judicial determination, the spokesman.
