Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 22: In a collaborative effort to promote oral health and raise awareness about dental care, the Institute of Dental Sciences (IDS), Sehora Jammu, partnered with the SIBA Foundation to conduct a successful free dental check-up event at IIT Jammu. The event aimed to provide valuable information about oral health products while fostering good dental practices within the community.
The event was inaugurated by Prof. Vijayan Pallippatu, the Dean of IIT Jammu, along with Dr. Karunika and her team. Founder members of the SIBA Foundation, Baljeet Singh and Sidharth Verma, also graced the occasion, accompanied by other distinguished individuals from the institute.
Additionally, medical teams from other hospitals were present to offer their services, making it a comprehensive healthcare event.
A dedicated team of healthcare professionals led by Dr. Esha Bali, Head of Public Health Dentistry, Dr. Sania from the Department of Periodontology, and Dr. Kamaljit Singh, worked diligently during the event. The active participation of interns and final-year students from the institute further enriched the event.
Participants of the event received thorough dental check-ups, ensuring they received accurate diagnoses and guidance for maintaining optimal oral health.
The medical team not only provided valuable information but also distributed free medicines and dental kits to the students, equipping them with the necessary resources to continue their oral hygiene practices at home.
This collaborative initiative between IDS and the SIBA Foundation underscores their shared commitment to raising awareness about oral health and making dental care accessible to the community. It reflects their dedication to ensuring that individuals have the knowledge and resources needed to maintain excellent oral hygiene.
