The program commenced with a heartfelt tribute to Maharaja Hari Singh as Rajkumar Ranvijay Singh, Trustee of Maharaja Hari Singh Social and Education Foundation, J&K, garlanded the statue of Maharaja Hari Singh, offering floral tributes. Both DPS Nagbani and DPS Katra joined hands to commemorate this special occasion.
The ceremony began with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by a warm welcome address delivered by Ms. Harshita Singh, Administration Coordinator at DPS Nagbani. Ms. Madhu Sharma, Deputy Headmistress of DPS Katra, and Ms. Pooja Sharma, a Hindi teacher at DPS Nagbani, presented speeches and recited Dogri poems in honor of Maharaja Hari Singh.

He highlighted his contributions, including the prohibition of early child marriages and the introduction of free and compulsory education for all, along with various other social reforms.
A significant highlight of the celebration was the launch of a drive aimed at providing free and compulsory education to underprivileged girls at DPS Nagbani. Rajkumar Ranvijay Singh inaugurated this initiative, which was conceived by Dr. Kunwrani Ritu Singh, Founder Trustee of Maharaja Hari Singh Social and Education Foundation, J&K. This collaborative effort, named the 'Free Education Mission for the Underprivileged Girls,' aligns with Maharaja Hari Singh's vision of equitable education for all.
MK Ajatshatru Singh, Chairman of Maharaja Hari Singh Social and Education Foundation, J&K, shared his valuable insights and experiences in advocating against child marriage and caste discrimination, underscoring the importance of education as a tool for social change and empowerment.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks presented by Raj Kumar Verma, Principal of DPS Nagbani.
