DPS-J students shine with gold medals in District Pencak Silat Championship 2023

JAMMU, Sept 23: Delhi Public School (DPS) Jammu students have once again demonstrated their excellence by securing an impressive tally of 12 gold medals and 1 silver medal in the 8th District Pencak Silat Championship 2023. This prestigious championship was organized by the District Jammu Pencak Silat Association and took place from September 15th to 16th, 2023, at the Sports Complex in Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu.
The winners from DPS Jammu who brought glory to their school and families are as follows:
Mahika Sharma (IX-G) - Gold medal, Rigved (IX-G) - Gold medal, Riyansh Sharma (V-J) - Gold medal, Raizel (V-A) - Gold medal, Chirayyu Kharyal (V-K) - Gold medal, Yatharth Salathia (IV-C) - Gold medal, Stavya Mehta (III-K) - Gold medal, Sabhwat Badyal (II-C) - Gold medal, Aryan Gupta (V-H) - Gold medal, Sragvi Sharma (V-H) - Gold medal, Reet Gupta (VI-B) - Gold medal, Ayaan Mahajan (IX-K) - Gold medal and Kriti Badyal (VII-F) - Silver medal.
The esteemed management of DPS Jammu, including the President-RCT, M.K Ajatshatru Singh, the PVC-Dr. Kuwarani Ritu Singh, the Director S.S Sodhi, along with Principal Ruchi Chabra, wholeheartedly congratulated all the winners and their proud parents for this remarkable achievement. They also extended their best wishes for the students' future endeavors.
Headmistress, Meenu Gupta, also praised the students for their dedication and hard work in bringing honor to the school through their exceptional performance in the championship. This achievement reflects the school's commitment to nurturing not only academic excellence but also fostering talent in sports and extracurricular activities.
