DODA, Sept 23: The Day two of J&K UT level Wrestling Championship for Boys witnessed exciting contests in different weight categories here today in the indoor sports stadium. Barjesh Waseem of Doda won Gold medal in the top 75 Kg category. The Championship is organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports J&K under the patronage of Shubash Chander Chibber, Director Youth Services and Sports and Suram Chand Sharma, and Joint Director Youth Services and Sports J&K.
Jaffer Haider Sheikh, District Youth Services and Sports Officer is the organising secretary of the event. In the 35kg category, Mohammad Usman of Doda, Liyaqat Ali of Reasi and Rohit Kumar of Udhampur won Gold, Silver and Bronze medals, respectively. Dheeraj Kumar of Jammu, Ashraf Ali of Kathua and Kanaya of Samba, the contestants for 38 kg Category got Gold, Silver and Bronze medals, respectively. For the 41 kg competition Mohit Kumar of Reasi, Mehran Ahmed of Doda and Alish Kumar of Jammu got Gold, Silver and Bronze medals respectively. In the 44 kg category Sourab of Jammu, Zakir Hussain of Kathua and Balu of Udhampur bagged Gold, Silver and Bronze medals respectively. Sahil Amin of Kishtwar won Gold, Lucky Thakur of Reasi Silver and Tarun of Kathua got Bronze medal in the 48 kg category. The 52 Kg category witnessed Manish Singh of Doda bagging the Gold, Saleem Ahmed of Kathua Silver and Razik Mohammad Bronze medal. In the 57 kg Category, Dalbeer Singh of Jammu, Mohammad Sajad of Rajouri and Krishan of Samba got Gold, Silver and bronze medals respectively. In the 62 kg category Mohammad Jiaz of Samba, Vikram Singh of Jammu got Gold and Silver medals respectively. In the 68 kg category Ramzan Choudhary of Kathua and Rehbar Raiz of Doda got Gold and Silver medals respectively.
