The police have effectively worked on the case of attempted murder, resulting in the apprehension of one more accused.
The arrested hardcore criminal has been identified as Sahil Choudhary, also known as Shalu, son of Vijay Kumar, and a resident of Rangoon Camp in the Ramgarh tehsil of Samba district.
The case, registered under FIR No. 52/2023 under sections 307/109 of the IPC (Indian Penal Code) and Section 4/25 of the Arms Act, is currently under investigation at Police Station Ramgarh.
The incident took place on September 3, 2023, when Shalu confronted an individual named Vipin Choudhary, also known as Mirchu, outside his residence near Rangoon Camp. Shalu attacked Mirchu with a "Kirch," causing severe abdominal and chest injuries. Mirchu had to be hospitalized and was subsequently referred to GMC Jammu, where he underwent surgery and received eighteen stitches. The accused, Shalu, had been evading arrest, and law enforcement agencies were actively pursuing him. Finally, the police successfully arrested him, leading to a breakthrough in the case.

Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Benam Tosh, emphasized that the Samba Police is committed to curbing crime in the district.
