RS PURA, Sept 25: The NSS Unit of Government Degree College, R. S. Pura, celebrated NSS Day 2023 with great enthusiasm and a spectacular display of talent, under the patronship of Dr. Rajni Bhagat, the esteemed Principal of the college, and under the able supervision of Prof. Bindu Kumari, NSS Program Officer.
The event commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp by Principal Dr. Rajni Bhagat, joined by other esteemed faculty members of the college, including Prof. Swati, Prof. Balwan Singh, Dr. Anuradha, Prof. Esha Abrol, Prof. Vijay Kumari, Prof. Vishal Sharma, Prof. Sukhwinder Kour, Nisha Bhagat, and many others.
The celebration began on an auspicious note with a soulful Ganesh Vandana performance by NSS volunteers Bharti and Team. The highlight of the day was a vibrant cultural program presented by the NSS volunteers, showcasing a diverse array of talents. The cultural extravaganza included captivating dance performances by Ritika & Simran, Kashish, Neetu & Poonam, and Manisha & Yogita, which left the audience spellbound. Yogesh, a student of Semester I, presented a self-composed Rap song that received thunderous applause and appreciation from the audience.
To add depth and context to the celebration, Suresh Mehra and Amit Dingra from Semester I delivered heartfelt speeches on the significance of NSS Day. Sahil, a student from Semester III, presented a beautiful and thought-provoking poem on NSS that resonated with the audience.
The proceedings of the program were gracefully conducted by NSS Volunteer Jasleen Kour from Semester V, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience for everyone in attendance.
The event concluded on a formal note with a vote of thanks delivered by Prof. Sukhwinder Kaur. Principal Dr. Rajni Bhagat extended her heartfelt congratulations to the NSS Unit for organizing a splendid NSS Day celebration. She encouraged the students to wholeheartedly participate in various social and cultural activities, fostering a spirit of enthusiasm and community service.
This NSS Day celebration not only showcased the vibrant talents of the college's students but also reinforced the commitment to community service and the noble ideals of the NSS.
