GDC RS Pura, screens slide show on Sabarmati Ashram

RS PURA, Sept 26: The Shikshit Bharat Committee of Government Degree College, R. S. Pura, organized a "Screening of Slide Show on Sabarmati Ashram" as a part of their Gandhi Jayanti Celebrations. The event took place under the patronage of the esteemed college Principal, Dr. Rajni Bhagat, and was supervised by Prof. Renu Sharma, the Convener of the Shikshit Bharat Committee.
The screening event was attended by students from various streams within the college, providing them with valuable insights into the historical significance of Sabarmati Ashram in India's struggle for freedom. The Ashram stands as a symbol of many pivotal events that played a role in shaking the foundations of the British Empire.
Dr. Rajni Bhagat, the Principal, addressed the students and shared the profound association of Sabarmati Ashram with Mahatma Gandhi and its crucial role in India's struggle for independence. Her address aimed to deepen the students' understanding of the historical context and significance of the Ashram.
Several other faculty members were present at the event to lend their support and enrich the learning experience. Among them were Prof. Swati (Head of the Education Department), Ms. Kajal Premi (Physical Education and Sports Department), Ms. Nisha Kumari (Librarian), and Shivangi Gupta.
The screening of the slide show not only celebrated the legacy of Mahatma Gandhi and his commitment to non-violence and truth but also served as a reminder of the importance of historical landmarks like Sabarmati Ashram in preserving India's rich heritage and the legacy of its freedom struggle. It was a meaningful and educational event that contributed to the students' appreciation of the nation's history and its great leaders.
