JAMMU, Sept 26: A special police officer was found dead on Tuesday in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The police, however, suspected a road accident to be the cause of the accident.
Police said that the SPO, identified as Khaliq Hussain, posted at District Police Lines, Poonch, and attached to a local police station, was found dead on Tuesday morning.
Police said that the motorcycle of the deceased was also lying near him, adding, "As per the preliminary investigation, it is suspected to be an accident, but we have taken cognizance and started the probe."
The body has been shifted to the District Hospital Poonch for a postmortem. |
