SSP advises SHOs to personally examine complainants; crime review meeting held

SAMBA, Sept 27: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Samba Benam Tosh held crime review meeting and advised SHOs to personally examine complaints at the Police Stations.
Crime review meeting was attended by Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary, SDPO Vijaypur Rohit Kumar, SDPO Bari Brahmana Rahul Nagar, Deputy SP Garu Ram, Incharge District NDPS Team, all SHOs, I/C PPs , MHCs, IOs and Probationer officers of the district.
SSP Samba directed all SDPOs, SHOs & I/C PPs to listen to the complainants personally as far as possible before taking legal action and to not delegate the complainants examining work to lower subordinates only , as there is always a communication gap between information provided by the complainant directly and that received through someone else.
Superintendent of Police Samba also directed the officers present at the meeting to accord priority to anti drugs drive and intimate anti-narcotic work done progress report to District Police Headquarters on daily basis. SSP issued directions to all officers to free their areas of responsibility from illicit narco- business as soon as possible and put behind bars all those involved in illegal drug smuggling & supplying.
Superintendent of Police Samba further directed that all murder cases, attempt to murder, rape, robbery, decoity, theft, extortion and other cases be worked out and brought to logical conclusion at the earliest without inordinate delay. While exhorting the officers , Benam Tosh said that police officers & officials should feel proud of themselves while personally taking part and fighting legal battles in the courts of law.
