Mayor leads anti-corruption oath at SRML Higher Secondary School as part of 'Jan Jagaran Abhiyan'

JAMMU, Sept 27: In a significant move to combat corruption and promote honesty, Mayor Rajinder Sharma of Jammu led an inspiring event as part of the 'Jan Jagaran Abhiyan' (People's Awareness Campaign) under the banner of 'Imandar Jammu, Shandar Jammu.' The event took place at SRML Higher Secondary School, where Mayor Sharma administered an oath to both students and staff members.
Under the vigilant guidance of Principal Anjali Gupta, the participants solemnly pledged their commitment to tirelessly work towards eradicating corruption in all its forms from the nation. Their determination extended to not supporting candidates based on caste affiliations during elections, but rather voting for candidates who are educated and well-versed in governance and administration.
Mayor Rajinder Sharma emphasized that their campaign aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision to eliminate corruption in India. He commended the students and staff for their active involvement in this crucial anti-corruption initiative.
The students displayed remarkable enthusiasm, vowing to spread awareness about anti-corruption measures among their friends, neighbors, and families to ensure the success of this noble, pro-nationalist campaign. They expressed concern that corruption often results in discrimination, with less qualified individuals securing favorable positions while deserving candidates are neglected.
Mayor Sharma highlighted that a corruption-free India can only be achieved when every citizen is resolutely committed to this goal. Principal Anjali Gupta commended the campaign for its positive impact, stating that it exposes students to important values of honesty and righteousness, which will undoubtedly shape their futures positively.
This event at SRML Higher Secondary School stands as a beacon of hope in the ongoing fight against corruption, showing that the younger generation is dedicated to building a more transparent and just society.
