Jammu Tawi Golf Course promotes Women's Golf Talent with "Women Putting Competition 2023"

JAMMU, Sept 27: In celebration of World Tourism Day, Jammu Tawi Golf Course (JTGC) in Sidhra organized the "Women Putting Competition 2023" on September 27, 2023. The event aimed to nurture a spirit of healthy competition among women golfers, providing them with a platform to showcase their skills and enthusiasm for the sport.
The competition witnessed the enthusiastic participation of numerous women players who demonstrated their golfing prowess with great zeal. The top honors went to Akita Sethi, who exhibited exceptional putting skills and emerged as the champion, lifting the coveted trophy. The runner-up position was secured by Shraddha Gupta, while Sunita Anand claimed the third spot.
Manav Gupta, who graced the occasion as the chief guest, emphasized the importance of putting contests as an innovative approach to attract women players to the sport of golf and nurture golfing talent in Jammu and Kashmir. Secretary of Jammu Tawi Golf Course, Manav Gupta, reaffirmed the commitment to popularizing golf in the region and announced that such events would be organized regularly to encourage golf enthusiasts.
The event also received the distinguished presence of National Golf Academy of India (NGAI) certified Professional Coach, Rohit Gupta, and several sports enthusiasts, further highlighting the significance of promoting golfing excellence among women.
The "Women Putting Competition 2023" not only celebrated the spirit of competition but also showcased the potential and dedication of women golfers in the region, contributing to the growth and recognition of golf as a sport in Jammu and Kashmir.
