Jammu, Sept 30: Dewan Devi Hr. Sec. School marked the birthday of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, on October 2nd, with vibrant celebrations filled with joy and educational activities. Additionally, the school also hosted a special birthday celebration for students born in the months of August and September, adding to the festive spirit.
The day commenced with a grand birthday cake, which the students eagerly savored, making it a memorable experience. Even the youngest members of the school, the tender buds, paid their respects to ‘Bapu’ and acknowledged his invaluable contribution to the nation.
To honor the birthday of another distinguished leader, “Lal Bahadur Shastri,” the students presented cultural items that captivated the audience. Dressed in colorful attire, the students showcased various cultural performances dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi.
A symposium held during the event shed light on the significance of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Clean India Campaign), emphasizing the importance of cleanliness and hygiene in our society.
