JAMMU, Oct 1: The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Maulana Azad Memorial College (MAM) Jammu, under the patronage of Principal Prof. Dr. G.S. Rakwal and guidance from NSS Program Officers Dr. Koushal Kiran Thakur and Mr. Shabeer Ahmed, successfully concluded a 7-day camp as part of the 'Swachhta Hi Sewa Campaign.' The camp was launched with the celebration of NSS Foundation Day, along with a pledge to promote 'Swachh Bharat' on September 25, 2023.
The week-long camp included a series of activities aimed at promoting cleanliness and raising awareness about a "Garbage Free India." On September 26 and 27, 2023, a cleanliness drive was organized within the college campus, followed by a symposium centered around the theme of achieving a "Garbage Free India" on September 27.
The camp also featured online activities focusing on the theme, "Swachhta Starts From Habitat," held on September 28 and 29.
The camp's conclusion marked another cleanliness drive, this time at the Ware House, conducted in collaboration with the college's Eco Club. This drive was part of the larger initiative called "Ek Tareek Ek Ghanta Ek Sath," emphasizing the importance of collective efforts for cleanliness.
The NSS unit of MAM College demonstrated its commitment to promoting cleanliness and environmental awareness through this comprehensive 7-day campaign.
