| GDC Gool organizes Swachhata drive in college campus | | |  Early Times Report
Gool, Sept 1: As part of Swachhata Pakhwada Swachhata Hi Seva Govt. Degree College Gool conducted cleanliness drive in the college premises and its surroundings today on 01-10-2023. The drive was meant to pay homage to the father of nation Sh. Mahatama Gandhi ji on his 154th birth anniversary. For him cleanliness was not less than worship he labeled cleanliness with prayers. While addressing the gathering somewhere in India Gandhi ji once articulated that his vision of free India is Just, Clean and equitable. The event was conducted under the able guidance of worthy Principal of the College Maj. Prof. Dr. Karan Singh and coordinated by Prof. Mohd Younus Saleem (NSS Programme officer). The programme was started with pledge reading ceremony which was read out by Prof. Mohd Younus Saleem both in English and Urdu. A sound number of students participated in the drive and cleaned the college premises. Students marched from the campus to the main road to collect wrappers, polythenes, plastics and other used bags littered in the periphery of the college.While addressing media persons Principal said that maintain cleanliness in the surrounding is the real tribute to the father of nation. It becomes the duty of every responsible citizen to make his home, village and office neat and clean, he added. Prof. Jatinder Lal HOD Education, Dr. Zafar Hayat HOD Arabic, Dr. Javed Lecturer A-A also graced the occasion. Light refreshment was also served to the students. |
