| Rs. 11.38 lakh spent by industries sectors in Rajouri | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, FEB 3: A sum of Rs. 11.38 lakh was spent in industries sectors in Rajouri district during ending November of the current fiscal. Of the total expenditure, Rs. 6.11 lakh was spent in Sericulture, Rs. 2.67 lakh in handloom and Rs. 1.75 lakh each in District Industries and Handicrafts respectively. The sericulture department has recorded a production of 2.30 lakh kg of cocoon while silk worm seed production has risen to 65201 ounces. The department has set up 120 incubation centers across the district. Similarly in order to improve technical skill in the district as many as 55 youth have been imparted training in various craft for setting up of their income generating units. 21 youth have also been provided loan for looms and 25 weavers have been covered under new insurance scheme. 30 weavers have also been covered under education scheme while 50 trainees have been imparted training in knitting trade.
