TBS, JU, FICCI FLO collaborate to host workshop on 'Financial Planning for Entrepreneurial Success'

JAMMU, Oct 4: The esteemed Business School at the University of Jammu, in collaboration with FICCI FLO Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Chapter, organized an enlightening event focused on the critical theme of "Financial Planning for Entrepreneurial Success."
The Chief Guest, G. Velladurai IEDS, Joint Director of MSME Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh, highlighted the entrepreneurial opportunities in Jammu and Kashmir, emphasizing industries such as Sheep leather and the Apple industry. He inspired students to aim high and embark on the journey of becoming entrepreneurs. Velladurai also discussed various funding schemes offered by MSME to support students in launching new projects and provided valuable insights into the entrepreneurial landscape of the region.
The event began with a formal welcome address by Prof. Vinay Chauhan, Director of The Business School at the University of Jammu. He extended a warm welcome to the guests and underscored the relevance of the workshop's theme for the students. Prof. Chauhan informed the gathering about the various initiatives undertaken by TBS to empower students and enhance institutional development.
Varuna Anand, Chairperson of FICCI FLO Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Chapter, infused the atmosphere with her passion for craftsmanship and dedication to promoting women entrepreneurs. She highlighted FICCI FLO's 'Uday Programme,' which fosters innovation and growth, providing a platform for entrepreneurs to thrive and succeed in the business world.
The invited speaker, CA Samriti Kohli, a renowned financial expert and member of FICCI FLO, shared her journey as a Chartered Accountant and stressed the significance of financial planning for entrepreneurial success. She emphasized the critical role of fund management in business operations, highlighting its importance as the backbone of sustainable ventures. CA Kohli also discussed the Industrial Policy of Jammu and Kashmir and identified opportunities for youth.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students who asked pertinent questions, which were expertly addressed. Dr. Amisha Gupta, Associate Professor at TBS, delivered a formal vote of thanks, expressing deep gratitude to the distinguished guests for their valuable insights and contributions to the event's success. The event was coordinated by Dr. Shelleka Gupta, Assistant Professor, and the Management Club of TBS.
The event was attended by the core team and members of FLO JKL, including Ruchika Gupta (Sr. Vice Chairperson), Sona Mehta (Treasurer), Pooja Gandotra (Jt. Treasurer), Nandita Bajaj, Parakh Jain, Chandrika Singh, Ritika Mahajan, Shallu Jain, and Sita Anand.
