DC takes part in Amrit Kalash Yatra at Nagseni & Kishtwar Block under “Meri Maati Mera Desh”

KISHTWAR, Oct 4: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar (In-Charge) Sham Lal (JKAS) today actively participated in the Amrit Kalash Yatra held under the banner of “Meri Maati Mera Desh” at Block Office Padyarna Nagseni and Block office Kishtwar besides listened to the grievances of people in different block diwas programme held at these two locations. At Nagseni, the event saw the enthusiastic involvement of several dignitaries and community members from the Nagseni area, including DDC Member Nagseni, ACD Kishtwar, BDO Nagseni, CMO Kishtwar, XeN Jal Shakti, along with various Block level officers, officials, PRIs, and local residents.
The highlight of the program was the remarkable display of patriotic fervor by PRIs from different Panchayats and the local populace of Block Nagseni.
They collected Kalash from 12 different Panchayats within the block and combined the soil from each Kalash at Block Headquarter Nagseni.
This combined Amrit Kalash will be dispatched to Kishtwar as a symbol of unity and devotion to our nation.
Furthermore, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Sham Lal, presided over the Weekly Block Divas at the BDO Office Padyarna, where he attentively listened to the grievances voiced by PRIs and local residents. He assured them that their legitimate concerns would be addressed systematically in due course.
During his address, Sham Lal shed light on various government schemes, including the Vishwakarma scheme designed to benefit artisans, urging the community members to make the most of these opportunities.
He also encouraged PRIs to actively engage in maintaining cleanliness in their surroundings, emphasizing the importance of parallel development and cleanliness efforts.
He also thanked PRIs for collecting Matti from all houses for various Panchayats besides extending full support and Cooperation in Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign and making it a grand success.
DC also visited BDO Office Kishtwar and took part in Amrit Kalash Yatra encompassing 12 Panchayats besides presided over the Public Grievance redressal camp under Block Diwas programme in presence of ACD Kishtwar, BDO Kishtwar, CMO Kishtwar, PRIs and concerned officers.
