| Jackal injures 4 in Gool | | | Udhampur, Sep 20 : A Jackal injured four persons, including a girl, before being killed by a villager in Gool area of district Udhampur, early on Wednesday morning. Reports reaching from the area revealed that a jackal strayed into Gool area of Udhampur district early this morning. The wild animal was first seen in the Main Market of the town. Sources told News Agency of Kashmir that before police could have taken any action Jackal attacked at least three villagers in the market causing severe injuries to them. They have been identified as Raju son of Din Wani, Shazia daughter of Muhammad Sharief and Abdul Rasheed. The animal then forced his entry in a nearby residential house of Abdul Rasheed. As no one was reportedly present in the house the Jackal came out and attacked another passerby Shabir Ahmed. Sources said that this time the Jackal failed to escape as the boy caught hold of him and killed him on the spot. Jackals attacking human beings have been unheard of in the state. |
