GDC Ramnagar successfully concludes "Basic Computer Skills" workshop

RAMNAGAR, Oct 5: In a commendable effort to equip students with essential digital literacy skills, GDC Ramnagar has concluded a 15-hour workshop spanning 12 days on "Basic Computer Skills." The workshop, organized by the Department of Computer Applications in collaboration with the IT cell and IQAC of the College, received enthusiastic participation from about 30 students eager to enhance their computer knowledge.
Under the able guidance and support of the college's esteemed Principal, Dr. Bhavnaish Chand, the workshop aimed to provide fundamental computer proficiency to students who had no prior experience with computers. Participants had the opportunity to grasp the basics of computer usage and explore its applications for everyday tasks.
In his closing remarks, Principal Dr. Bhavnaish Chand emphasized the pivotal role of digital technology in today's modern world. He stressed the importance of acquiring digital skills and encouraged students to actively engage in such educational initiatives in the future. As a token of recognition for their dedication and successful completion of the workshop, certificates were presented to the participants by the Principal.
The valedictory function, where these certificates were awarded, was efficiently conducted by Dr. Sonam Gandotra, Assistant Professor of Computer Applications. The workshop featured a team of esteemed resource persons, including Prof. Aditya Sharma, Prof. Mushtaq Ahmed, Mr. Parveen Sharma, Prof. Anice Ahmed, and Dr. Sonam Gandotra.
Prof. Aditya Sharma, the Head of the Department of Computer Applications, extended heartfelt gratitude to all participants and collaborators. He emphasized the pivotal role of digital literacy in today's fast-paced world and commended the dedication of the organizing team in making the workshop a success.
Also present at the event were Prof. Suresh Kumar Dogra, Head of the Department of Physics, and Prof. Brinder Kumar, Convener of IQAC.
The "Basic Computer Skills" workshop not only empowered students with valuable digital skills but also exemplified the commitment of GDC Ramnagar to providing quality education and fostering digital literacy among its students.
